iSchool Media Server Policies
NOTE: links to streams will be placed on the Lecture & Presentation Archive page unless otherwise requested.
Faculty Policy
- Faculty may submit physical media (such as a digital tape or CD) to the iSchool IT mailbox. Media will be encoded for streaming and then placed online. If you are faculty submitting media please include with your physical media your name Email address. You will be notified via Email when your media stream is online.
- Alternatively, faculty may copy digital media files to the iSchool N:\ drive and then send an Email to webmaster@ischool.washington.edu with its location and filename. The file will be encoded and placed online. If you are faculty submitting digital media please include in your Email where you would like links created to your media stream. You will be notified via Email when your media stream is online.
Student Policy
- iSchool Students are responsible for encoding their own video files to the proper WMV bitrates. See Media Encoding Tips for help.
- Once a WMV file has been encoded, students may request their file be put online. If you are a student requesting your WMV file be put online, please put your file in the iSchool N:\ drive and send an Email to webmaster@ischool.washington.edu with the location and filename of their video. You will be notified via Email when your media stream is online.
